Born and raised in Chicago, damadmixer was influenced by the emerging house seen, and dreamt about being heard on the radio. On WCRX, as a member of Masters in the Mix, he was heard on Friday night’s brining “the new style” to Chicago’s airwaves. The Beastie Boys “emm drop” and “it’s the new style” was heard in iconic clubs like The Warehouse, Riveria, Kabooms and many city festivals. By utilizing different media forms, from TV and movie clips, video games and speeches, he made a name for his mixing style which remains the same today.
